PROMEMORIA is an exhibition itinerary composed of several editions and realized in 2012. RAM expands the concept of exhibition and makes the gaze and thought problematic, in a research that prefers multiple directions to a single linear direction.
PROMEMORIA I started from the desire to show works created by the artists Marco Bagnoli, Bruna Esposito and Remo Salvadori, on specific exhibition occasions and above all distant in time from each other. This project is measured by the inattention that dizzyingly distances the most recent past. The spatial and exhibition module of the Camere, at RAM’s headquarters in Rome, amplifies the potential of the works like a device, creating the opportunity for new meetings and other visions.
PROMEMORIA II further investigates the relationship with time and the past through the monumental installation by Michelangelo Pistoletto, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, in the space of the Baths of Caracalla in Rome.
