TALK WITH ME, VENICE 2007: A group of very young artists, all coming from and escaping from the IUAV (University Institute of Architecture of Venice), walk around the lagoon city in the spaces that host the exhibitions of the Biennale and those collateral to them. They meet all the possible artists who have participated through interviews and want to witness their presence live, understood not only as producers of exhibited works but also as creators of a poetic thought, expressed with the word. RAM radioartemobile has promoted these flying meetings, a hand-to-hand between and with artists of different generations and countries, under the sign of verbal encounter and cultural exchange. A further step in communication within an art system that instead moves under the performative sign of the public event. “Talk to me” represents instead the attempt to create a space of cultural intimacy that allows artists to talk and listen to each other, and in a dimension that excludes competition and instead includes a Socratic cadence.
